Most Popular DVD Movie Rentals | Blue Box or Red Box

With Block Buster closing many of their retail locations around the United States many members are looking for places to rent movies. It looks like Movie Rental stores everywhere are closing. It looks like the act of going to a video store and shopping for movies to watch is a thing of the past. Yes, times are changing. More and more people are watching their pocket books and are looking for cheaper and more convenient ways to rent movies. Many people are finding that they prefer to rent online. And many others are using the new little convenience kiosk that seem to be popping up at many gas stations and McDonalds.

DVD Rental By Mail

• Netflix - costs $16.99 a month . You get 3 DVDs out at a time which you can exchange as often as you want.
• Blockbuster- costs $16.99 a month . You get 3 DVDs out at-a-time which you can exchange as often as you want.

They are the same price but both have different advantages. If you want hot new releases, then go with Blockbuster since they have contracts with Warner Brothers and other studios. With Netflix you have to wait 28 days to get some of the really hot new realeases.

If you prefer a huge variety of older classic titles, then I suggest you go with Netflix.

So for the people who are used to going to a retail store to rent movies, Where do you go to get movies now?

Well there are many options for family dvd rentals. You could sign up with a cable company and get movies on demand. You could rent movies online. Or you could rent a movie locally at a kiosk.

RedBox - Movies at a Redbox Kiosk is only 99 cents a day.

Blue Box - This is Blockbuster version of the Redbox. Again a buck a day.

With these I would suggest the closest location. I have not used either of these, but have had friends say that Red Box is much more user friendly with directions that are very clear and concise.
